I canβt get enough of Katieβs space here in Lake City. I come regularly and never plan which great piece of art Iβll leave with yet somehow I always leave satisfied. Her floral designs are always so warm and thoughtful. I see first hand how her passion drives the such a supportive artist community when I get a glimpse of her interacting with them in store or on Third Thursday Art Walks. I also love coming to classes taught by the artists and appreciating the space for community in and of itself!

Blooms and Twine is the best little flower and fun gift store in North Seattle. Every time I go there I leave with fresh flowers and something from one of the local artists in the area (a cool repurposed Carhartt jacket, stickers, a funny card, earrings, etc. support local and support Katie!

Updating my review to 4 star from a 1 star. That they responded to the issues plus fully funded the cost of the flowers is very much appreciated. The store is in an historic area. The area is well lit but it still fronts on a very busy main road. With more and more people moving to the Seattle area we are experiencing smaller centers and communities struggling with more and more traffic congestion and parking issues. I wonder if there is a walkway from the paid parking lot behind the buildings to the storefronts. Here is original post: Flowers were not left at the house, only a delivery notice with only an address, no phone number. When they reopened after the weekend, not till a Wednesday, and I drove to pick up my birthday flowers, parking was horrendous. The store front was a seedy unappealing gift store. The tag on the flowers did not even say who had ordered the flowers! And they did not offer to replace the 4 day old flowers with fresh ones. Maybe they are great for big events, but for everyday occasions use instead βtypicalβ local florist. Note: My house and sheltered front porch is in a clearly safe well lit neighborhood. Katie is such a kind, compassionate and competent professional! She cares so deeply about the product sheβs delivering, the people sheβs serving and the community that she builds! I brought a bunch of tween girls here for a flower pressing class and she went above and beyond and they loved their bookmarks and mini flower presses. I love how her store lifts up and promotes other local artists!
